My favorite website

My favorite social work website is www.mitrabajoessocial.com this website contains a large base of academic resources of the major, and also has recreational and informative blogs of the profession. It presents events and news focused on the social work discipline in the world and also makes a call to publish articles related to social working.

I visit this website frequently since I like to find out new events or information about social work. I like this website because here I can find topics what I study, I get informed every time I enter the website and learn so much more about this major and its influences all over the world. If I am allowed, I would like to contribute to the website with my little experience as a social work student and in this way, be able to guide other people to study this beautiful major.

Starfish

I took this picture when I went on vacation with my family to a beach near Los Vilos. You can see a starfish with all the details with the special features in the sand.

I took this pic in February last year during the family vacations. I like it because it is full of colors and I tried to catch the starfish’s smallest details. I liked the result and the background as well, it is one of my favorite images that I’ve ever taken. It was a great trip.

I can remember that I took many pics and, I would really like to go back there.

My life on two wheels

Science and technology contribute significantly to our lives. For me the technological object that stands out the most on the bicycle. My bicycle accompanies me everywhere and does not harm the environment, it seems to me the best means of transport that you could see created! It has accompanied me to many places and I have had it for 5 years, despite the time it continues to work and it has never left me dumped! haha

I always use it, when I need to do some paperwork or if I just want to go out!

It is the best piece of technology that man could see created, a useful means of transport and easy to maintain! I like it because it does not pollute the environment and it is easy to use, we can all learn to use it!

My life without my bicycle would be very complicated, I would miss it a lot, I would have to use another means of transport and life would not make sense haha! The bicycle distracts me a lot and encourages me, believe it or not! What do you think of the bicycle? Do you have one?

I am Paula

Good morning dear bloggers, I would like to tell you a little about me so that you too are motivated to tell me about you!

My name is Paula Pizarro Lizama, I am 20 years old, I was born on August 28, 2000 in Independencia, Santiago. Currently I live with my family in the Yungai neighborhood, I really like the neighborhood although lately it has been very dangerous!, If they come be careful!

I really like to take spontaneous photographs. I also like to go out for a walk or ride a bike around the city, I find it entertaining to get to know the city while doing sports. I like meeting people and always doing new things, every day we learn something new!

I also like to listen to music and drink a lot of mint tea!

Now that you know me a little, tell me a little about yourself, who are you?

When I was a child I never thought about being a Social Worker as an adult. I Always believed that when I grew uo I would be a doctor, teacher, chef, or police officer.

When I was a teenager, I discovered that I really liked helping people, and I started looking for careers that focused on offering help to people, that´s how I discovered Social Work.

Discovering Social Work made me realize many social problems that I didn´t know existed before. I realized the poverty that exists in Chilean families and the possibility that I have to help and do good to other people.

Social Work opened my mind to the social problems that exist in Chile, which makes me a critical person in the face of my surroundings. This is how I found my vocation for the social and why I chose to be a Social Worker.

And how did you choose your career?
